Şaştım Aşı is one of the Kayseri soups in which legumes and cracked wheat are combined with yoghurt. Chickpeas, beans and split beans form a solid body; Mint butter and yoghurt make the soup both refreshing and nutritious.

  • chickpeas
  • splitting
  • butter
  • yoghurt
  • dried mint
  • salt

Recipe

    Soak the legumes beforehand.

    Boil beans, chickpeas and split cloves.

    Put them in boiling salted water and cook them together.

    Warm the yoghurt with the soup broth and add it to the pot.

    Serve with mint butter.
