Küp Meat is an old-style dish in Kütahya made by cooking meat in a closed container over very low heat for a long time. The meat, slowly cooked in the same pot with onion, tomato, pepper and garlic, softens with its own steam and acquires an intense aroma. It makes a dignified main course when served with rice or potatoes.

Place the onion whole or in large pieces into a cube or thick-bottomed container.

Add meat, tomatoes, pepper, garlic, salt and pepper.

Add a small amount of water; If the meat is too lean, add some oil.

Close the container tightly and cook over very low heat for about three hours.
