Black cabbage soup, indispensable to Zonguldak and the Black Sea coast, is the most effective remedy against winter cold. Black cabbage grown on the steep cliffs of the Black Sea meets beans, corn flour and butter to create a nourishing and healing soup.
Ingredients
- 500 g kale (finely chopped)
- 1 cup dried beans (pre-soaked)
- 3 tablespoons corn flour
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 cups water or broth

Soak the beans the night before and boil them.

Finely chop the kale and fry the onion and garlic in butter.

Add broth, add kale and beans, cook for 30 minutes.

Dilute the corn flour with cold water, stir and add it to the soup.
