
Hamsili Mısır Ekmeği
Cornbread with Anchovy is one of the prominent local flavors in Giresun cuisine. It reflects the character of the city cuisine with the ingredients and cooking method used in the local table culture.
Ingredients
- baker's millet flour
- anchovy
- milk 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon sugar Salt

Add 15 medium-sized, de-boned and cleaned anchovies to boiling water in a bowl and boil for 3-5 minutes.

In another bowl, add milk to the millet flour and mix.

After adding salt, sugar and black pepper to the mixed dough, the boiled anchovies are placed on a plate, the anchovies are broken into pieces and thrown into the prepared dough and mixed again.

After preparing the dough, put some butter in the heated pan and spread the dough into the pan.

When the bottom side is browned, turn it over with a lid and cook it on the second side.
