Stuffed Leaves is one of the prominent local flavors in Çanakkale cuisine. It reflects the character of the city cuisine with the ingredients and cooking method used in the local table culture.

Ingredients

Recipe

    After the leaves are boiled in water, they are left to cool.

    Chop the onion into small pieces and when it turns pink in 1 tea glass of olive oil, add 5 glasses of boiling water and bulgur, cover it and immediately remove it from the stove.

    Leave it closed for about 30 minutes until the water is absorbed.

    Add 1 tablespoon of salt and finely chopped mint, parsley, tomato paste, black pepper, red pepper and cumin to the bulgur and mix.

    Put 1 teaspoon of filling on each leaf, wrap it thinly and place it sideways on a row of leaves lined up at the bottom of the pot.
