Metez is one of the prominent local flavors in Çanakkale cuisine. It reflects the character of the city cuisine with the ingredients and cooking method used in the local table culture.

A dough with earlobe consistency is obtained by kneading flour, 1 glass of water, egg and 1 teaspoon of salt.

This dough is rolled out as wide as a pillow and cut as wide as the mouth of a water glass.

Finely chopped onion is browned in 3 tablespoons of olive oil and then roasted with minced meat for 5 minutes.

Add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, fry for another 2-3 minutes, then add chili peppers and black pepper, mix and remove from the stove.
